Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a typical project take?
Most custom systems launch in 4–8 weeks, depending on scope. TradeFlow365, our most recent ERP, went from contract to production in about 4 weeks — full inventory, sales and operations on AWS, web and mobile.
Do you work with companies outside the UK?
Yes. We serve clients in both the UK and South Korea with full bilingual support in English and Korean — contracts, requirements, code reviews and post-launch support all available in either language.
What technologies do you build with?
We focus on AWS serverless (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, RDS) for the backend and Flutter for cross-platform front-ends. We pick proven, boring technology that ages well and keeps running costs predictable.
Do you offer ongoing support after launch?
Yes. Once a system is live we keep it healthy with monitoring, bug fixes and regular feature releases. Most clients move into a long-term partnership rather than a one-off delivery.
Can you take over an existing system?
Often, yes. We've migrated clients off spreadsheets, legacy desktop apps and outdated SaaS into systems built around how they actually work. Your existing data comes across with you, and it stays yours once you're live — exportable in standard formats whenever you ask.
Should we buy an off-the-shelf ERP or have one built?
Off-the-shelf suites are powerful, but for a small or mid-sized business they usually need significant configuration, customisation cost and ongoing per-seat licence fees before they fit. A bespoke build makes sense when the way you work is the thing that makes you competitive — you get a system shaped to your workflows rather than the other way round. If your processes are genuinely standard, we'll tell you so.
How much does a bespoke ERP cost?
Scope drives the number, so we quote per project rather than per seat. A bespoke ERP build typically starts from £15,000, fixed once the scope is agreed. After go-live a single annual subscription covers AWS hosting, maintenance, support and a few hours of consultancy each month — you are not licensing seats, and anything that would change the fee later, such as a large jump in users, data or modules, is written into the contract rather than left open.
Can it work with the accounting software we already use — Xero, Sage or QuickBooks?
Yes. We have already built and shipped QuickBooks integration, and Xero and Sage are integrations we build and quote the same way — as are shipping, payment and e-commerce platforms that offer an API. Integrations are scoped and priced separately, so you know what each one costs before the build starts, and your accountant carries on working in the tool they already know.
Who owns the system and the data?
Your data is yours — you can export it in standard formats whenever you need it, and we use it to run, support and improve the system, plus anonymised aggregate statistics. The software and the AWS infrastructure we own and run, and you hold a perpetual licence to use the system for your business, which is why there is no in-house AWS team for you to hire. If you want to hold the source code, or the intellectual property outright, both are available as separately priced buyouts, agreed up front rather than left for later.
Is a bespoke ERP realistic for a business of our size?
Yes. TradeFlow365 was built for exactly that kind of team — a trading business running on spreadsheets, not an enterprise with an IT department. Serverless AWS is what makes it viable at this size: the system scales with what you actually use, and we run the infrastructure, so there is no server for anyone in-house to look after.
